After attending St. Martins School of Art in London,
England, I have spent my professional years working in
many phases of the Advertising /Graphic Design field
including book and magazine design, annual reports,
development and fund raising. I have worked in Montreal,
New York City and now reside in Columbus OH.
I have always painted but it is only in the last few years
that I have devoted all my time to painting.
I have always been fascinated in the important body of
American design that is the patchwork quilt. My paintings
have evolved from using the surface, pattern and forms of
these cultural icons to a purer, simpler exploration of color
in space. The movement that these 3-dimensional
elements create in the mind’s eye can become kinetically
sculptural in their effect on the viewer.
