





After graduating from Western Michigan University's fine arts
program, Chris worked in commercial art and design, taught
elementary and secondary art and did freelance cartooning and
illustration.
Returning to the fine arts, Chris studied with master painters:
C.W. Mundy, David Leffel, Greg Kreutz, George Strickland, Joe
Paquet, Kim English, Ken Backhaus, Skip Whitcomb, Carolyn
Anderson. and Ken Auster.
Chris has had a solo show in NYC at the Amsterdam Whitney
Gallery in the International Arts District in Manhattan, and many
solo shows in the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana area.
Chris' artwork has shown in national and international juried
exhibitions including: Manhattan Arts International NYC, Annual
International Juried Competition PA, Salmagundi Club NYC,
Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club NYC, Hudson Valley
Association NY, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Annual
Exhibition, Oil Painters of America National and Regional
Exhibitions, Scottsdale Best and Brightest AZ, Cheyenne Art Club
Open Juried Exhibition WY, Gateway National NM, and Viewpoints
National OH, among others, winning national and international
awards.
Chris' work has hung in exhibitions in the Indianapolis Museum of
Art and the Cincinnati Art Museum and is in public and private
collections.
