Connie grew up interested in design and taking photos. A serious
interest in the arts started when she was in college and one of her
classmates was teaching oil painting to help with expenses. She
found her interest so great that she kept painting as a hobby.
She kept her “day job” and developed her talent in the evenings
on the side. There were a few evening classes at a local
community colleges along with various other side classes. She
just kept learning and painting. She worked in oils, acrylics,
watercolor and pastel.
In 2008 Connie’s husband encouraged her to take a seminar in
the Columbus area that integrated digital photography with digital
painting. The mix of the two was a perfect fit. She finally found
what she had been looking for. Those thousands of photos she
had been taking could now be combined with her knowledge of
painting. And no turpentine!
