JOHN MITCHELL
John Mitchell was born in Springfield, IL in 1977. His teenage
aspiration to become a comic book artist gave way to the
influences of life and was eventually given up to the field of
technology. This direction in life only broadened his artistic
horizons. Although he has no formal training and has never
publicly shown his art, he has a natural gift of portraying his
ideas and feelings through his art. His background in
construction, design and engineering allows him to create
pieces using ordinary objects that are functional yet beautiful
and original. His inspiration comes from industrial and
mechanical materials and ideas to which he adds his artistic
touch. He has a strong working knowledge of computer design
and is influenced by everything from architecture to surrealism.

through any of the five senses.”
