| Linda Hutchinson |
I am a painter from Kent, Ohio who enjoys working in all drawing
mediums as well as watercolor and oil paint. A recent series
combined charcoal drawing with linoleum printmaking. My favorite
subject is the human figure, but works drawn from nature,
architecture and everyday life never cease to amaze and enchant.
My paintings are in the collections of: The Ohio Watercolor
Society; The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio; The
Parkersburg Art Center; The Joyce Dutka Arts Foundation and
Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. My work was selected to
illustrate the First Night Akron 2008 button and poster.
My work has been exhibited in many national exhibitions including:
The Butler Institute of Art Midyear Exhibition; The National
Watercolor Society; Oil Painters of America; The Pastel Society of
America; and The Salmagundi Open. Most recently my work took
2nd place in Viewpoint 2009, a national exhibit sponsored by The
Cincinnati Art Club, and The Kaleidoscope Award in Kaleidoscope
2009 sponsored by The Alliance for the Visual Arts in Akron, Ohio.
I teach drawing and painting at The Cuyahoga Valley Art Center
and through a continuing education program at Kent City Schools.
Affiliations include: Artists Archives of the Western Reserve; The
Akron Society of Artists; The Ohio Watercolor Society; Oil Painters
of American and Red Dot Project of Cleveland. My work is
